I designed this bookmark several years ago for a prayer retreat my friend hosted. While much of it was spent praying for one another, I’m sure you aren’t surprised that our kids were one of the main focuses of our prayers.
My mother once told me, “The most important parenting I’ve done was on my knees.” While I believed her, when my children were little I didn’t fully understand. As our children get older and we see how much their lives are in God’s hands (and not ours!), we find we spend more time in prayer.
When I’m asked, I tell people on of the best books on parenting is Paul Miller’s A Praying Life.
